Prep students at Christ Our Holy Redeemer are matched with a Grade 6 Buddy for their first year of school. These buddies provide a wonderful first connection at school, easing anxiety and helping our new Preps learn about their new school environment and routines. Their Grade 6 buddy is a first friend, someone to go to on the playground when they need help with a game, or a friendly face at drop-off time. Throughout the year the buddies get together for many activities including celebration days, lunches together, learning activities and for buddy reading.
